- Common maximum for scores and percentages.
- The smallest three-digit natural number, and a square.
- Equal to 2+3+5+7+11+13+17+19+23, the sum of the first nine primes.
- Also the number of years in a century.
Backstory
100 = 10² = 2² · 5², and also 1³ + 2³ + 3³ + 4³ = 100 (a slice of Nicomachus's identity). Neither prime nor a factorial, but ubiquitous in metrology as a percentage base and as Roman C. τ(100) = 9 divisors.
