- The smallest composite base-10 repunit.
- R₃ — the three-ones repunit, equal to 3·37.
Backstory
111 = 3 · 37, the second repunit R_3. Every repunit R_{3k} is divisible by 111, giving R_6 = 111,111 = 111 · 1001 = 3 · 7 · 11 · 13 · 37. More generally, R_m divides R_n iff m divides n. In cricket, a score of 111 is known as 'Nelson' and considered unlucky.
