12345
the answer for puzzle #42

The five clues

  1. A five-digit multiple of fifteen.
  2. Its digits are the integers 1 through 5 in order.
  3. Divisible by 3 and by 5.
  4. Product 3 · 5 · 823 — three prime factors.
  5. The natural counting climb to five.

Backstory

12345 = 3 · 5 · 823 (with 823 prime) is often listed as the world's most common weak numeric password. As a digit-run 1-2-3-4-5, it appears in Kaprekar-adjacent play: reverse and subtract yields 54321 − 12345 = 41976, whose digits sum to 27 = 3³.
