132
the answer for puzzle #112

The five clues

  1. A three-digit multiple of twenty-two.
  2. A three-digit Catalan number.
  3. The sum of all six two-digit numbers formed from its three distinct digits equals the number itself.
  4. It equals 11 × 12, a pronic number.
  5. C₆ — counts binary trees with six internal nodes.

Backstory

132 = C₆, the sixth Catalan number. It counts the ways to triangulate an octagon, the Dyck paths of length 12, and non-crossing partitions of a 6-element set. Also 132 = 2² · 3 · 11 and equals the sum of all permutations of its own digits: 12+13+21+23+31+32 = 132.
