the answer for puzzle #66

The five clues

  1. A five-digit multiple of ten thousand.
  2. A perfect square.
  3. Its square root is one hundred.
  4. A perfect fourth power.
  5. In Ancient Greek, myriad — the word for this quantity; roughly 27.4 years in days.

Backstory

10,000 = 10⁴ = 2⁴ · 5⁴. In Ancient Greek, μυριάς (myriás) meant precisely this quantity — the number ten thousand. Only later did 'myriad' come to mean 'a great many.' The Chinese equivalent 萬 (wàn) still names it as a distinct base unit.
